Sponsored walk on Sunday 11th October 2009 at Holkham Hall - 'Walk around the world' to raise money for brain tumour research.
The 2009 Walk Around the World for Brain Tumours, a project of the International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA), is to encourage people to undertake sponsored walks to raise awareness about brain tumours & to donate the mileage covered to the World Walk’s target of circling the earth five times at the Equator (equivalent to 125,000 miles or 200,000 kms). The World Walk symbolically unites all those around the globe whose lives have been touched by a brain tumour.

For the second year running Norwich North Alpha Lions Club have very kindly given a donation to Andrew's fund and this year we have received a cheque for £400. Our grateful thanks to the Norwich North Alpha Lions Club.
We have recieved a donation of £300 from Jean Smith and the members of Reepham Private Bowls Club, where Dean also plays, from money raised at their recent bowls match. The final total received from Vernon Hoare on successfully completing the Norwich Half Marathon 2008 was £440! A brilliant run and a great amount of money raised - our grateful thanks to Vernon.

We are very thankful for a generous donation of £10 from Penny Brown from West Kirby this week. Penny found a 'Remembering Andrew' stone at Calday beach on the Wirral which we had placed there over Christmas and she very kindly visited Andrew's website and donated £10.

We have received a donation of £324.33 from the collection at a Firework Party organised by Target Follow and Salle Organics. We are very grateful for such a generous donation and would like to thank everyone involved in this event for kindly donating the money raised to Andrew's fund at the Samanth Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.

Lisa has managed to sell the remaining pudding evening recipe books and has collected another £74 and Michael has collected another £22 from recipe books, making a total of £96 to add to the pudding evening total which takes it up to £1,442.88 raised altogether. This amount is fantastic and is well over what was made last year! Thank you so much for everyone's generosity and support.
Lisa, Dean, Andy and Lee have again decided not to send Christmas cards this year but instead are giving the money they would have spent to Andrew's fund, they have donated £30 and we are very touched by this kind gesture. We know that they would want to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year.
The 'Pudding Evening' organised by Dean and Lisa Johnson was once again a sell-out success, raising a staggering £1,346.88 in memory of Andrew for brain tumour research. Everyone had a great time and we cannot thank Dean and Lisa enough for all their hard work, time and effort that they put into this evening to make sure that everything went smoothly and that so much money was raised. So many people very kindly donated money, made puddings, donated raffle prizes and helped to make the event so successful and we would like to thank everyone who supported this charity evening. Special thanks to Andy Smith who again produced the all new recipe books ( these are still on sale at £2 each from Dean if you would like to buy one), and to Gill Brown for her much needed help in the kitchen! A very big thank you also to James Hubbard for entertaining everyone with his Michael Jackson dance which was brilliant and raised £40.04!!

Dean and Lisa are very kindly organising another 'Pudding Evening' in memory of Andrew and to raise money for the SDBTT brain tumour research on Sunday 26th October at Reepham Pavilion from 6.30p.m. - 9.00p.m. Tickets are just £4 each and for this you can eat as many yummy puddings as you can!!!!!!!! We have lots or new and exciting puddings to try and all the recipes can be found in the new Recipe Book which will be available to buy on the night. There will also be a fun quiz and a raffle with some great prizes. Tea, coffee and squash will be available to buy on the evening, but you are very welcome to bring your own drink (wine etc.) as there will be no bar available at this event.
Anyone who came to last year's pudding evening will know that tickets sell very fast and these can be bought from Dean or Lisa - telephone 01603 871810 or Marion - telephone 01603 872017 . An amazing £1,350 has been donated to Andrew's fund from a 48 mile sponsored walk by George Abbot, John Bugg, Olly Coles, Freddie Fielder, Aaeorn Moss and David Vaughan. With the help and support of Reepham Rotary Club they completed the walk and very kindly donated half the proceeds to Andrew's fund - the remainder of the money going to CLIC Sargent, caring for children with cancer. We are very grateful to all the boys and to Reepham Rotary Club for their support.
The football match and afternoon was a great success - apart from the fact that Norwich lost to Ipswich - 1-0! There was lots of support and some amazing prizes in the raffle. We are still awaiting the final total raised for this event but lots of money was raised and so many people worked really hard to make this event so successful. Special thanks to Neil Turner for nominating Andrew's charity for this event.
National Express Railways are holding a charity football match (Norwich v Ipswich) on the afternoon of 8th June 2008 at Anglian Windows in Norwich and they are very kindly donating the proceeds towards Andrew's Fund. Kick-off for the match is at 2.00pm followed by drinks and buffet; there is also a raffle for some lovely prizes which have very kindly been donated for this event. Everyone welcome.

Tea Party Raises £675
The 'Tea Party' kindly organised by Dean, Lisa and Lee Johnson was a great success and raised the amazing amount of £675 for Andrew's fund. We are so grateful for Dean and Lisa for all their hard work in putting on this event and to so many people who helped on the morning and for their kind donations. Special thanks to Andy Smith, Glynis Pratt, Gill Brown and Sue and Joe Wright. The cakes made and donated by everyone were delicious and we sold them all!!! The raffle was also a big success and we are very grateful to Glynis for making the beautifully decorated cake.

TEA PARTY

Dean and Lisa have very kindly organised another 'Tea Party' to raise money for Andrew's fund on Saturday 8th March 2008 at The Bircham Centre, Market Place, Reepham, Norwich from 9.30 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. There will be a delicious selection of cakes, teas, coffees etc. along with a raffle with lovely prizes. The tea party Dean and Lisa organised last year was a great success and everyone said how much they enjoyed it and the morning raised lots of money for Andrew's fund.
Everyone is welcome and all money raised will go directly to brain tumour research at the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.
A big thank you to all staff, children and parents at Reepham Nursery School for a collection made at the Christmas Nativity production. A total of £74.20 was collected and very kindly donated to Andrew's fund. Thank you to everyone for your generosity.
Our greatest thanks to Dean Johnson for raising an amazing £776 at the 'Pudding Evening' he organised on 21st Oct. with the help of Lisa, Lee and friend Andy. Over 40 delicious puddings were temptingly laid out for everyone to sample. The evening was a 'sell out' success and so many people have said how much they enjoyed themselves. Andrew would be so proud of Dean for all he does in his memory and we are so grateful for Dean and Lisa's continued support. Thank you to everyone who made puddings, donated raffle prizes and helped on the evening. Special thanks to Jan for her kind donation of the cost of the hall and also to Andy's mum for making the lovely lavender bags to sell on the evening. Everyone's support and generosity is so gratefully appreciated.

Our good friend Caroline Hubbard is very kindly organising a fundraising dance for SDBTT in Andrew's memory. This will be held on 14th July at Horsford Village Hall from 8pm - 11.30pm. 'Lets's hear it for the boys' was a great success and raised an amazing £410 for Andrew's fund. We are very grateful to Mr. Fearn for organising this event and for all the bands who took part and to all those who suppported the event. Laura and Rachel went on the evening and said that everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!!
Emma Harriman has very kindly organised a sponsored run around Reepham High School sports field with her friends Telissa Latham and Jack Perrott. They ran 2,400 metres around the field every day for 5 days and gave up their lunch times to do the run. They have raised lots of money so far and we shall know the total soon and put it on this site. A huge thank you to Emma, Telissa and Jack for all their hard work and for thinking of Andrew and raising this money in his memory.
Mr. Fearn is helping organise a fundraising evening, featuring live bands, in memory of Andrew and Matthew. Money raised with be shared between Andrew's fund and Matthew's chosen charity. 'LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS" will take place on 31st May 2007 at The Arts Centre in Norwich. Please contact Mr. Fearn at Reepham High School for more information.

Congratulations to Paul Woodyatt who successfully completed the London Marathon in a brilliant time of 3hours 10mins 4secs and was placed 172 in his age group. We shall find out soon how much Paul raised in memory of Andrew. A big thank you to Paul for his brilliant effort in the marathon.
Unfortunately Wayne was unable to run in the Marathon on Sunday, but he is now going to run in another marathon later in the year and all money already pledged to Wayne for the London Marathon will go towards this. Thank you to Wayne for his support.
Wayne has since run the Edinburgh Marathon and came second - well done!
Together Wayne and Paul raised over £450 for Andrew's fund. A big thank you to them both.
Wayne Lincoln and Paul Woodyatt are very kindly going to run the London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April in memory of Andrew. Wayne and Paul are members of The City of Norwich Athletic Club and Wayne is hoping to be the first Norwich athlete over the finish line! Fundraising is going really well at the moment and we would like to thank everyone for their help and their very generous donations. Special thanks to Dean Johnson for all his hard work in organising the Boxing Day Dip and raising over £1,500 for Andrew's Fund. Thank you also to Joe, Kelly, Robert, Joshua and Jacob for taking the dip. Including Dean's money, an amazing amount of £3313 was raised in Andrew's memory. Dean has now organised a 'Tea Party' on 10th March to raise more funds, you are a star Dean and we are so proud of your continuing support.

Wayne Lincoln has very kindly offered to run the London Marathon to raise money for the fund and we wish him well for his run - any sponsors would be very welcome.

On Saturday 10th March a 'tea party' to raise funds in Andrew's memory was organised by Andrew's best friend Dean Johnson, along with Lisa and Lee. The event raised an amazing £509 plus £59 on wristband sales. Thank you to Dean, Lisa and Lee for all their hard work, they put so much into making the day such a success and we are very grateful for their continued support. Thanks also to Dean's grandma, Glynis, who made a wonderful cake for the raffle and to Gill Brown and Sue Joe and George Wright for their help on the day.
